Blanche (Angie Young) and Sam (Billy Jones) get it on back stage with
make-up before show time.
ready Wednesday and open ing
night is Fri day . .. Where is Jay? ...
He's in the next act . .. Lookout,
don 't knock that over, it's hold ing up
the set . .. Where is my coat? ... Not
that one, the blue one .. . Somebody
please tie my tie . . . Shut up or Miss
Brookman wil l come back here .. . Is
everybody decent? .. . Bring that
wig tomorrow ... I've got to change
clothes in 14 seconds!? .. . Some-
body go get us something to eat. ..
What about potato salad? .. . I can 't
smile through all this make-up ...
Where is my scarf? . . . Is this shoe
polish supposed to look like gray
hair? ... Yes, Billy, shut up ...
Who's got insomnia? ... If anybody
says that word again ... I'm gonna
call the police ... " Mr. Veeler it's de
cops!" ... I forgot my line about the
peep show . . . Are you nervous? . ..
Move out of the way- the curtain is
opening ... Hit the lights . .. It's half
over . .. The last scene .. . Time for
curtain call , line up .. . Billy, you go
first ... Sylvia is last . .. Thank God ,
It's all over.
Dr. Lake and Mrs. Wheeler talk things out.
