Life Unrehearsed
Each play has 1ts rehearsals, as ... The
actors learn their parts ... And stnve for
that perfection which ... Will warm the
patrons' hearts ... And that is fortunate
for those ... Who walk upon the stage
... In their endeavors to perform ... And
act a certain age . . . But life itself is
something else ... It is an instant play ...
With never one rehearsal for . . . The
things we do or say . Except that we
can stop to think ... And so rehearse the
mind ... To keep the tongue from speak-
ing words . . . Untruthful or unkind ...
But otherwise on sudden deeds ... We
have to stand or fall ... And only good-
ness unrehearsed ... Deserves a curtain
call.

Actors All
We all are actors in our hearts
Whatever be our age ... As we appear in
private roles ... Or on the public stage
... In business and in social life ... How-
ever brief the session ... We usually pre-
pare ourselves ... To make the best im-
pression ... We may not practice every
line ... And movement of the play . But
we select our conduct, and ... We
choose the words we say ... We know
our limitations, and ... Deceit is not in-
tended . We simply use our skill as far
... As it can be extended . . And as we
smile, and as we strive . . To keep from
looking tense ... We all are actors in our
hearts ... And in a special sense.
