Dear Students:
This yearbook was prepared for you to enjoy your memories for
many years to come. As you walk the halls of Columbia High School
many things will happen that you will forget as time goes by. There
are many ideas, thoughts, and dreams we want you to carry with you
the rest of your life.
You should continue your caring and loving feeling for all, con-
tinue your desire to learn, and have an eager drive to be successful.
This yearbook will have many success stories. You are a part of this,
through academics, other school programs of study, school activi-
ties, and athletics. It is a great feeling to be successful.
As you turn these pages look for your achievements and those of
others. Don't you just have a good, warm feeling about your achieve-
ments? This warm feeling of accomplishment will make you want
to be Number #1!!! We're still #1 ... "
Let's continue our efforts for Columbia High School to be a
number one school, you a number one student and this yearbook
will be number one in your hearts for many years to come.

The 44th volume of the Columbian was printed by
Jostens Publishing company in Clarksville Tennessee.
Trim size of the book is 81/2xll and contains 368 pages.
The book is Smyth Sewn, rounded and backed. An paper
stock, gloss finish, is used. The cover is embossed with a
foil overlay. It was designed by Kristi Thomas and John
Cantlon - The endsheets were also designed by Kristi
Thomas and John Cantlon. The book has a run of 900
copies.
Portrait works and specific photographs were fur-
nished by Delmar Studios of Gainesville student photog-
raphers supplied the reminder of the photography. Pho-
tos-in-a-Flash of Lake City furnished developing of
pictures.
The Columbian staff wished to thank several people.
We would like to thank Mr. Stan Wilkerson, Jeff and Lisa
of Delmar Studios in Gainesville for their tremendous
help with numerous photo services. Thanks a million to
Mr. John Cantlon our Jostens representative, for all of
his encouragement and energy, and thanks for our new
Macintosh. We would like to extend our appreciation to
Superintendent Lane for her encouragement and faith in
the journalism program. We would also like to thank Mr.
Ken Herring for all his help. Thanks to Photos-in-a-
Flash for all the last minute picture, Randy Roy for al-
ways being "on call" for pictures when we needed them,
and a special thanks to Tim Kirby, local sports editor, for
furnishing many necessary sports pictures.
