Reminiscing is part of the fun of growing up.
Because our first year of high school was so
important, we would like to share with you what
was popular during our freshman year. As we take
a trip down memory lane, we will remind you of
what was in, and what was not. Welcome to the
years 1992-1993.
In 1992, being the best dressed freshman was
an absolute must. Denim was the most popular
style of the year, and sheer shirts brought about a
new look to the casual motif. With black being the
in vogue color, fashion became quite subdued.
Music was another social acceptance
standard. Throughout 1992, the type of music that
was listened to varied dramatically. From Bryan
Adam's "Everything I Do, I Do It For You," the theme
of Robin Hood, Prince of Thieves, to L.L. Cool J.'s
"Mamma Said Knock You Out," pop, rock, and country
conquered the ears, hearts, and souls of everyone.
Artists such as Bonnie Raitt, R.E.M., Metallica, Boyz
II Men, Garth Brooks, The Judds, and Madonna ruled
the charts and brought home the Grammy Awards of
the year.
