Stepping Up

Cross Country has not been a recogn1zed
or even a popular sport here at Columbia H1gh --

at least not until now.
Coach David Halliday, who led his team at

Crescent City High to the state championships
three years ago, has brought a sense of direction

to the team. Through long practices and constant
training, Halliday molded a young team into a pack
of fleet-of-foot runners who made a name for them-

selves on the three-mile track.
