You've seen them 1n the halls, but there's
more to these CHS students than meets
the eye. Pictured above, sophomore
Edward Samb y, keeps a range of pets
from dogs to guinea pigs. His favorites,
are his gumea p1gs because they never
attack him. Speaking of attack, sophomore
es Bra n (10), below left, has recently
begun teaching Taekwondo after taking
lessons for eleven years. But CHS has
more than just a martial artist. Seam s
Ratliff (9), below right, an art1st for the last
eight years likes to experiment with "the
many different styles of art". He inherited
his love of art from his mother and plans
many more years of art expenmentation.
Now for the
The fall play "Villian School" showed off the comedic side of
the villain world with actors portraying student witches, evil
geniuses, monsters, convicts, and misfits. To prevent the chaos
from leaving the stage, department heads ensured smooth
performances every night. We asked Rhiannon Hyse 1),
Head of Makeup & Ha1r, how she feels about her JOb. "I'm
proud to be a leader in someth1ng I'm so passionate about."
Valerie Fockele (12), Costume Director, reveals that the JOb
can qu1ckly become stressful, but she's had experience with
costume mak1ng before, wh1ch helps qUite a bit. In fact, she
now has her own costume des1gn bus1ness. We inquired as to
how Fockele juggles her school work with such a demand1ng
job. Her advice: "If you love it, you do 1t."
