PROPHESY

It is the year 1966. As e look into the sitting room of a
stately mansion located about twenty miles south- est of Lake
City, Florida, in the quaint little village of Fort White, e
find a retired professor known by all as Mr. Rider. This mansion
lwas purchased through the treasury of the class of '49 and pre-
sented to Mr. Rider as a token of our love for him. He has
!graciously sent each member of the class of '49 an invitation to
a bouse party celebrating his third wedding anniversary. The
guests are beginning to arrive and as the butler, John Wesley
Talbot, opens the door, he finds the first guest to be no~e other
than our old class mate, Georgia Mae Rourks. During the long
years she has become a orld-famour fan dancer, has traveled over
Europe and the Orient, displaying her charm and talent. She
plans to retire soon to be with her husband, Bumfrey Gocart, and
t 0 lovely children. She is greeted by Mrs. Rider, for Mr. Rider
is shaving. As Mr. Rider finally comes down to greet his guests,
!Mack McCormick arrives. Shortly after graduation from Fort White,
he entered Harvard University and we are now proud to learn that
he is president of that college. He asserts his authority at
school, but at home he is dominated by his wife, an ex-night club
singer. Mack joins Mr. and Mrs. Rider, and Georgia Mae in the
sitting room. After several minutes of chatting, another school
mate, Harriet Fry, arrives. Fort Vfuite School has been lucky to
have kept Harriet these past years as their phisical education
teacher. She has never married and is still being wooed by that
long, lean, and lanky lover of later years.
John Talbet hears a knock on the back door, and as he opens
lt, he finds De ey Lee with a huge package. As he opens the bundle,
he finds the meat of two deer and three wild turkeys. Dewey,
like Harriet, is still unmarried, but there is still hope for
11m yet as his hunting consists of dear hunting as well as deer
  hunting.
We hear an automobile outside, and as the chauffer opens
the door for a very stunning young lady, e find her to be Lucky
Burnette. She has been indeed lucky, for she is no the s cre-
tary of the president of the United States-he is a sin!Sle man
~ow, but as Laquita has been working for him for two weeks now,
w can't expect to be single much longer.
Sara Lee and Virginia arrive next in a sixteen cilinder
~atalac. There is a large iron lung attached to it. When Sara
Jee began her career as an opra singer, we all warned her not to
1train her lungs, but it seems she didn't take heed--her name is
~ngraved on the side of the iron lung.
Virginia has been shoppin~ all day for a new corset. She
ls workin~ for an Oscar and has to keep in shape. It seems a
   >ity what movie stars have to go through with; yet she has made
l grand success. Sure hope the middle age spread doesn't catch
~ with her before she gets her Oscar.
We hear a cheer of girls' voices coming down the street. As
the cro d nears, we see John Paul Norris and Buddy Cason in the
