Homecoming
Pow-Wow
There is much we can say about homecoming 2000. There were many brand new
traditions started and many traditions used from the original Ft. White High School
The week started with dress up days. Each day students and faculty particpated
Tuesday night the middle school had it's homecoming game. FWHS really killed Hamilton
County. On Thursday a new tradition was started with Pow-Wow. Pow-Wow was a huge
pep rally. Many clubs and organizations showed off their unique skills from cheer leading to
dance to flag. The band was a great success. The 9th through 12th grade classes competed
in skits. All the grades did a great job, but the Juniors ran away with the win. At Pow-Wow
we also crowned our new Mr. Tomahawk which was an old tradition we decided to keep
using. Mr. Tomahawk of 1961, Mr. Charles Maxwell. crowned Cov Woodley.
On Friday night the skies opened and a flood started Even through the rain our
fans persevered At half time our new Miss Tomahawk was crowned by 1961's Miss
Tomahawk Yvonne Dubose Whitten. She crowned Miss Nicole BenkocZ'J.
All in all. this first Ft. White High School homecoming was a lot of fun for all. but it
is only going to get better.
