impressed me enough to even remember his name. However about 6 weeks after the completion of the
Suit, he dropped dead of a heart attack, and I have had this come into my mind several times since that
court case.
It was never my intention to deceive anybody in financing, and the reason I did not bother to do the
Truth in Lending Statements was that I did not know it applied to me. Furthermore, what information
the form gives the customer is precisely and exactly the same as that contained in the mortgage, and like
so many other Government regulations, it accomplishes nothing.
Nevertheless, there is a signed Truth in Lending statement in every sales file I have opened since then.
