I have always been a huge admirer of Frank Sinatra, and had always wanted to hear Sinatra in a live
performance. Sinatra was performing in Jacksonville a few years ago and I had the pleasure of taking
Alphonso and his wife Celestine, along with my wife Beadie to hear Frank Sinatra in concert in
Jacksonville. That is one of most memorable nights of my life. I still don’t think that there was anybody
ever that was a superior performer to Frank Sinatra.

This section of my book has a sad ending due to the fact that Alphonso passed away 5 or 6 months ago
in late 2011. The community suffered a great loss when he died.
