Incidentally, I never at any time met his wife personally, but I saw her from a distance on several
occasions, and always remembered, as I do to this day, of how splendid a ballet dancer that she was. I do
not know if she ever resumed her professional career or not, after I left Baylor, but it is doubtful due to
the fact that I don’t think she ever recovered from the horror of seeing her family murdered before her
very eyes. Daniel Sternberg was probably her salvation, and they seemed very very close. As far as 1
know they never had any children, or if so it was after I had left Baylor in the summer of 1952.
