            rabbit with a little hint of chicken taste added in. It was a mild
            wild taste, quite good, when fried "Southern Style." Her dad, Ches
            Sweat was a hunter, and she married into a hunting family, so she was
            afforded opportunities to try different kinds of wild meat. This was
            one of the many advantages of being raised on a farm, to enjoy some
            of the bounty the local forest and stream provided. The somewhat
            swampy land around us aided in providing a great variety of game and
            wildlife. It also provided us with an abundance of less desirable
            wildlife primarily reptilian in nature, mostly rattlesnakes and
            moccasins, were always close at hand.
