Memories of Golde Dicks Markham (1996) Golde Markham Dicks
2).
I am dedicating these memories of my’life to my grandchildren, great-grandchildren,
nieces and nephews, and any future great-grandchildren who may come into our family after
I have departed. They will still be my great-grandchildren. Love lives on.
To Benjamin Eric Booz, my only beloved grandson: I cherish the days that you spent
with Paps and me when you were a little boy. I’m very proud of you, and I love you.
To Valerie Idell Booz Kauth, my oldest granddaughter: Valerie, I feel that when I
leave this wonderful world, that God has allowed me to enjoy for so long (and because you
are so much like me), you will take up where 1 leave off. You and Kevin have two wonderful
boys. Please give them some spiritual activity and all of the other advantages you are giving
them. I believe that you all will be blessed more than you can imagine. I love you.
To Bonnie Lee Booz, my youngest granddaughter: Bonnie, you are such a pretty girl.
I have a special place in my heart for you. I feel that you are the one who will look after
Mom and Dad. You are a wonderful girl. I love you.
To Mark and Brandon Kauth, my two great-grandsons: Oh, how I love my two great-
grandsons! I’ve always enjoyed squeezing my two little boys, but I know that you will soon
be grown up and may be embarrassed for Gee Gee to love you and squeeze you. I want you
to understand that even when you’re too big for that, I’ll love you just as much. Rest assured
that you both are going to grow upto be great men with the highest of character—such as
the President of the United States. I love you two little “Boogers.”
