Charier of the City of Lake City
shall examine the original and copy thereof, and
if found correct, shall so certify on each roll, which 27/257
certificate shall be signed by at least a majority
of said Council.
The Assessor shall then attach to the original
the following warrant:
To..................................., the Tax Collector of
the City of Lake City: You are hereby com
manded to collect out of the property, and from
each of the persons, firms and corporations named
in the annexed assessment roll, the taxes set down
on said roll opposite each name or parcel of land
therein described, and in case the taxes so imposed
are not paid at the time prescribed by law, you
are to collect the same in manner as is prescribed
by law, and all money collected you are to account
for to the Treasurer of the City of Lake City. And
you are further required to make all collections
and reports, and a final report to and settlement
with the City Council of said city, as required
by law and ordinances.

Tax Assessor of Lake City.
The Assessor shall receive such compensation
as shall be fixed by the Council prior to his election.
When the Assessor is combined with the office of
City Clerk, or other office, the compensation may
include both offices.
