Columbia High School's 1951 homecom-
ing ended the football season with the tenth
stra1ght w1n for the "Tigers." Festivities
started early rn the week with banquets,
dances, and pep rallies. Before the game,
the two bands played while the queen and
her attendants rode out onto the field. The
queen earned the ball onto the field, and
the game began. Lake City led at the half.
The bands put on a thnlling performance.
At the end of the game, the score stood at
33 to 0. The crowd went wild! Live Oak
presented Lake City with the Old Oaken
Bucket trophy. Then, with vis1ons of the
N.E.C. trophy in their heads, people went
to the b1g dance which climaxed homecom-
ing week.
