ANCE AND BAI TQUET OF
THE BANQUET
The Juniors give a banquet and dance in honor of
the Seniors every year. Th1s year the theme was the Circus At the banquet,
- delicious food called by such names as "Petite Balloon Garnish",'' was served by boys in clown costumes.
and girls 1n vari-colored t1ght rope costumes. Rolling down the cerlter of the table, were cardboard
trains, stuffed clowns and bright streamers. The circus spirit was even more evident at the dance. A
barker greeted the couples at the door with tickets. Next to him, 1n the foyer was orange juice, peanuts
and cookies. Hundreds of streamers met in the middle of the ceiling and gave the illusion of a brightly
colored ter.~t. Bob Bauer's orchestra played for the dancers. The Jun1ors began the floor show with a
trapeze act. Tight rope walkers, Donald D~k imitations. songs plus a show put on by the orchestra
filled an hour w1th entertainment. At the close of the show, balloons floated to the floor. At 12:30, the
dance was over. Seniors will remember with pride that the night was in their honor. Juniors will happily
remember a dance and banquet well worth their time and efforts.
