The Columbia Chapter was the first chapter of F.F.A. to be organized in Lake City. This chapter
was organized in April 1938.
The Columbia Chapter grew so rapidly that the Bill Sheely Chapter was organized in 1949· Mem-
bership is voluntary, and boys enrolled in vocational agriculture constitute its active membership,
but provision is also made for associate and honorary membership.
