Mr. Morgan Makes Homemade Driving Range
Work
Being the only Driver's Education
teacher at CSHS has its difficulties.
The fact that there is no paved Driv-
ing Range added to the challenge
Mr. Harold Morgan has to face. Re-
sourcefulness and ingenuity pro-
vided a "home made" range featur-
ing almost all the advantages of the
more costly set up at other schools.
Mr. Morgan 's 78 students spend
thirty hours in class plus six hours
behind the wheel in actual driving
situations.
The Driver's Education Department
has three cars for the students' use.
Two were courtesy of Ronsonet
Buick and the third is provided by
the school. Each car is equipped
with a horn, cut off switch, brake
and mirrors that the teacher may use ·

Physical
Education
Takes On New
Challenges
There are always some problems in a
big move. It seems in CSHS's move
the P.E. Department was hit the
hardest. Lack of a football field, a
track for running, tennis courts and
baseball fields headed the list of
needs that are slowly being filled.
However, a combination of leader-
ship from the P.E. Faculty and the
determ ination of the students,
young athletes managed to pu II
through , stay in shape, and have a
fun year in Physical Education .
Over 350 students enrolled in the
P.E. program can choose to partici-
pate in any course from flag football
to self defense. Tennis, Bowling, Ar-
chery, Basketball, Volleyball, Golf,
and Gymnastics head the list of new
beginnings in Physical Education .
