English Department Maintains Mini-Course
Programs.
Dedicated to gearing the program to
the needs of all students, the English
Department provides the opportun-
ity for students to choose a variety of
classes.
Emphasis is placed upon Writing and
Reading Skills . Mini-course classes
provide for basic needs and also
provide more specialized classes in
Literature.
Courses ranging from Basic Gram-
mar, to Research papers, to Women
in Literature helped provide the in-
centive for 150 more Seniors to re-
gister for English than last year. As a
result, an additional teacher was
hired.
The English Courses are taught
under; Mrs. Carter, Mrs. Foreman,
Mr. Scott , Mrs. Gause, Mrs.
Gillman , and Miss Bookman .
1. Mrs. Carter shows Suzy Rountree the errors
she made on her English Quiz. 2. Mrs. Cause
listens to one of her student's answers on
How To Study. 3. A big smile is given by Mrs.
Gillman after one of her student's gives a
speech. 4. Mr. Scott reviews his students for
semester exam. 5. Miss Bookman seems to be
very pleased about a play her drama class per-
formed. 6. Mrs. Foreman, Department Head,
grins as she checks over the lost textbooks
list.
