Baseball requires 9 players. High
school games are played in 7 innings.
Runs are scored by advancing players
around the 3 bases. Each inning consists
of both teams making 3 " outs" against
the other team.

Basketball is a fast moving game that
takes much skill and stamina. Five players
on each team attempt to put the ball through
their basket. Two points are awarded for a
field goal, 1 point for a free throw.

A school's athletic teams de-
pend on the fans who support
them. Withouttheparticipation
of the students and the interest
of the community many sports
would be discontinued. Co-
lumbia High has many talented
students who, through sports,
can express their enthusiasm
for their school.
