The Senior class play of 1977, " The
Curious Savage", was presented on
November 22 and 23. The scene
was set around a mental institution
known as the Cloisters. Our main
character, Mrs. Savage (played su-
perbly by Karlyn Gansel, is com-
mitted to this institution by her three
greedy and selfish children-who
throughout the play are being made
sport of. The plot centers around a
bundle of bonds totaling some
$10,000,000 dollars. First, they are
hidden, then stolen, thought to be
destroyed, and finally returned to
their rightful owner, Mrs. E.P. Sav-
age. All of this is accented by a
group of hilarious and gooney
patients. The play proved to be a de-
lightful comedy with a touch of ir-
ony, directed at self-centeredness,
and winds up with a truly deep
meaning presented for all to see. So
here is to Mrs. Diane Ellis, the stage She had the bonds with her all the time, in that bear!
crew and cast; congratulations for a
job well done.
