A Democracy Governs School
Student Council is composed of
representatives from all four
classes. It is an important club on
campus because Student Council
must approve all the other club
activities.
Our Student Council received a spe-
cial honor this year as being voted
the president school of District II of
the Florida Association of Student
Councils. They preside over some
sixty schools.
Much preparation is made before
the school year begins. Some of the
officers attended a workshop for a
week at Stetson University to learn
new concepts and how to have a
better council.
H~mecoming week is one of the
main activities Student Council
runs. They also work to earn money
to send representatives to the State
convention and workshop. This year
they worked to earn money to buy Picture 1-Bonnie Gerlach serves as Student Council President as well as the President of District II.

In March every year new officers
elections are held and the cycle re-
peats again. ·
