Although Ed White was ranked
10th in the State, they weren 't able
to pull it off in OT action against the
Tigers at Homecoming '79.
Action began in the first quarter
with White scoring a 7 point lead. In
the second quarter it was 6 more
points for White and 7 for Columbia,
making a half-time score of 7-13.
The Tigers came back fighting in
the second half and with 11 :08 left
to play Duncan threw his first TO
pass of the year to Carter in an 85
yard play to tie the score at 13-13.
In the OT action Milligan scored
behind a fired up offensive line. Es-
penship booted the extra point.
White's dreams were shattered
when, on their second play, Tim Jer-
nigan knocked the ball loose and
Vince Watson recovered . The final Take that ball and go!
was 20-13.
