On April 4, 1985, Melissa May was crowned Miss CHS. Twenty-one g1rls competed for the title in the pageant sponsored by Beta Club.
The pageant was held in the CHS gymnasium. Each g1rl was Judged on an essay, p01se, appearance in sports and formalwear, and talent.
The five finalists were judged additionally on their answers to impromptu questions.
