Even during Leo club activities, Donna McNeill finds
time to study. Members held a rock-a-thon at Glea-
son's Corner Mall to raise money for Thanksgiving
food for needy families.
Leo Club Sweetheart, Tammy Hunter, lets her fingers do the walking when she should be in a Leo Club meeting. Leo Club is a worldwide service organi-
zation. The Columbia High chapter was
started here in 1987. The sponsor is Mr.
Larry Joye who teaches at the Lake City
Jr. High. The members of this club are
dedicated to helping other people.
The club has been involved in several
activities throughout the year. They
raised money and food for families before
Thanksgiving. They raised the money by
having a Rock-A-Thon at Gleason's Cor-
ner Mall. The members got sponsors to
pledge money for the length of time they
rocked. It was a great success. The club
also sponsors several other service
events throughout the year. Many of
these projects are done in conjunction
with the local Lions club. This was defi-
nitely a busy and exciting year for the
students involved.
