The 1990-1991 CHS girts leMis team, under the instruc:llon of
Carolyn Delaney, is going 1o be one of the best learns ever. Our team
consists of several great and experienced players. Ashley Delanoy
and Kim Lynch are those great players. They wiU be our No. 1 and 2
seeded players on the loam. Kim Lynch, one of the two seniors on
the learn, has been ranked In the lop twenty in the nation in the 18
and older bracket Ashley Delaney is a groat young player, sho has
been playing most of hor lifo and has become vory good. Sho Is only
a sophomore and colloges aro already asking lor her. Sho plays in a
lot ol tournaments stale and nationwide.
These are only two of the great players on our loam. All of us
have great potential. We aU know that we aro going far this year
and wo have vory high hoposl The team mombors aro: Klm Lynch,
Jonnilor Mrvica, Elizabeth VanAtsdall, Ashley Delanoy, Carleen
TIDrnan, Unda Tillman, Erica Eadie, and ClvisUna Cannon, Heather
Ripple, Elizabeth Dunn.
Last but not least, our dedicated coach, Carolyn Delaney. Mrs.
Delaney has coached tho glr1s high school team lor tlvee consocubve
years. She is a 6th grade teacher In our community and she is also a
good tennis player herself.
Wo pracllce three timos a week. At each pracllce we warm up
with some stretching exercises, then we run a few laps around the
courts and after all of that we begin practice. Our practice lasts 2
hours. Almost anyone wiho wants 1o be on the team can.
The team Is great this yoar. You will be hearing a lot about us.
