A definitely different hairstyle for Rashan Harris! She and Tara Thomas break out the breakfast food at one of Mr. Jetter's early morning
visits.
The high school is definitely different now. New principal,
Brian Jetter, has seen to that. The stark white of the commons
struck the eyes blindingly on the first day, seeming more like a
mental institution rather than the building where we spend
seven hours daily. The roof no longer drips, eliminating games
of free-for-all hall-skidding. We can no longer glide into class
on a stream of water, but the one-minute warning bell helps
with that problem. Hall monitors on every corner have stopped
students roaming the halls, but have also led to larger classes,
forcing some students to sit on the floor. With administrators
switching places, new faces keep appearing on campus. The
addition of the ninth-grade has increased the number of stu-
dents and the amount of spirit at the high school. Traditions
have been upheld for a long time, and some of the changes are
a little hard to swallow, but it's time for a change. It's definitely
time for something different.
