With the big changes in the
lunch schedule and the capacity
of the cafeteria, the commons
have passed through a strange metamorphosis.
Where eating in the commons area was once forbid-
den, it's now required for many students. Cramping
two and three in a chair, some brown-baggers and
vending machine victims are still forced to eat
standing up or camp out on the floor. The word
"picnic" has taken on new meaning, but lunch is
still a favorite part of the school day.
