"My Little Girl"
This year for you has only been 18 years of living,
But for me its been a wonderful18 years of living!
You've grown taller every day and further from my world,
I love you so much- this angel- My little girl!
Music I can't understand replaced your nursery rhymes,
No longer can I even quess what's running through your mind.
Your long blond hair has forgotten ribbons and soft curls.
God, Please protect this angel- My little girl!
Carrie,
As in the words of this old song that you used to love to hear me sing to you,
the last 18 years have been wonderful years that I will always cherish. It
makes me so proud of you and thankful to God to see the beautiful, capable
young woman you have grown into! I know we have had some rough times
through the years, but everyone does, and these times help to strengthen us and
bring us closer together.
As you near your graduation from high school, my dearest wish for you is to
always be as happy with your life as you are right now. You arc leaving
childhood behind you and entering the adult world- and it sometimes can be a
frightening place to be. I won't always be able to be with you to help you
through the painful times, but always know that my heart is with you and any
time you need me- I'll be here for you!
As I look back over the years, I realize that having you and your brother-
helping you to grow and mature into the wonderful people you both are is the
greatest achievement of my life- I wouldn't change a thing!
I love you, my sweet little "Baboo"!
Always and Forever- Mom
