Social Studies Oub Stands the Test ofTlille
The Social Studies club is devoted to the activity of its members in social an
educational functions. All club members contributed to this goal during the yea
Members attended civic activities as well as performing civic duties for o\J
community. Sponsor Mr. llatcher moved this club to the south campus when he wa
transferred to teach several social studies courses. The dub was very successful agat
this year with a high membership and several activities that pushed the club towar
its goals.
Mr. Hatcher works hard to make his club both
fun and educational. Mr. Hatcht>r was just the
right "type" of ~pon~or for Social Studies club
member'<.
Mark Yan:rant, Dave Metha, Bill Saunders,
Amanda Ogden, and Erin Mosc sell Christmas
Gift Tags for one of the club's fund raisers. The
club u<;ed these funds to attend function!> that
helped to educate members in social studies.
Jana Powell was chosen as Social
Studies Club's most outstanding
member. She is the picture
perfect example of what Soci.tl

portray.
