Peer Counselling. Students Helping Students.
Peer Counselling is a le<~dership course designed to <~ssist students in becoming a valuable resource to
other students and to the school. Participants learned effective communication skills, self-evaluation
techniques, and group interaction clements. Peer Counselling students acted as guides for the new
student orientation program. The group worked with elementary school students in the B1g Brothers
and Sisters progr<~m and also worked with fellow students in P.A.I.R.S. (Partners Assisting in
Reaching Success). They even took time out to meet with other statewtde Peer Counselors at the
annual conference and research <~reas of concern to teenagers.
The fric:'nd ly Mrs. Lee is the perfect sponsor
for Peer Counselling. She has the ability to Laura Taylor triL'S to calm Amy Pournelle as Kim Bryant, Hillary Thomas, and Tameika Marshall do their
