Under  the  direction  of  Co<Jch  Wolf  and  his  superb  co<Jching  st<Jff,  the
                                                                 Columbi<J  High  footb<Jll  team  finished  the  year  w1th  <Jnothcr  winning season.
                                                                 In  <Jddition  to  a  10-2  record,  the  Tigers  also  became  District  11-AAAAA
                                                                 Ch<Jmps.
                                                                    The  Tigers  began  their  season  w1th  a  close  v1ctory  of  7-6  over  the
                                                                 M<Jcclcnny Cat  , but  won  the next  week  by  OJ  landslide  over  the  Gainesville
                                                                 'Canes with a score  of 35-7.  The Tigers were able to  pull out a  21-20  win over
                                                                 arch  riv<Jl,  the Suwannee  Bulldogs, at  the last  mmute,  but  the glory ended  the
                                                                 next  week  when  they  fell  21-28  to  the  Buchholz C<Jts.  Columbia  was  able  to
                                                                 redeem  their  pride  in  Death  Valley  with  a  shut  out  victory  of  6-0  over  the
                                                                 Valdosta  Wildcats,  who  were  r<Jnkcd   o. 2  in  the  nation.  The next  week  was
                                                                 another close game,  but  the tc<Jm  pulled  together and came through  beating the
                                                                 Eastside  Rams 7-3.  The Tigers beat  the  Lake Wc1r  'Canes with  OJ  breeze bcatmg
                                                                 them 42-8.  After  a  long  ro<Jd  trip  to  Panama  City,  the  boys  were still  able  to
                                                                 come home  with  a  27-13  victory over  the  Rutherford  Rams.  The  boys really
                                                                 showed  their stuff the next  week  1n  front  of  the  alumm  at  the  homecoming
                                                                 game ag<Jinst  the St.  Augustine Yellow Jackets,  bc<Jting  them 42-7.  After  OJ  wtn
                                                                 of 35-20 over the Middleburg Broncos,  the Tigers were sure to be placed in  the
                                                                 St<Jtc  Playoffs.  After  the  34-24  victory  over  the  Or<Jngc  Park  Raiders,  Lake
                                                                 City clinched  the  District  II  SA  ch<Jmpionship,  being the only undcfc<Jtcd  tc<Jm
                                                                 111  the  d1stnct.  The  Tigers  played  the  l'an<Jm<J  City  Mosely  Dolphins  in  the
                                                                 first  round of the pl<Jyoffs and  lost  13-24.  For  the  Senior  pl<Jycrs,  II  W<JS  thc1r
                             Charging down the field  tow<Jrds  the goal  line,
                                                                 last  high school  footb<Jll  game.  For  all  the  pl<Jycrs,  11  W<Js  the  last  g<Jmc  to  be
