Once again, spring is in the air. The smell of hot dogs and popcorn fill the warm
afternoons at the ballpark. After the national anthem, the umpire shouts, "Play
ball!", and baseball season is underway. This year's baseball team has faced many
problems. Another new coach has kept this team in a state of transition for the
second straight year. Along with an already young and inexperienced team, the
boys haven't had a field to practice on and have found themselves practicing at
Southside and in the pasture behind the field. However, the team has bonded
together to overcome these problems and worked extremely hard to prepare for the
upcoming season. It is with this dedication that the Tigers take to the field to
improve on a somewhat dismal12-12 season last year. As coach Joe Hudson takes
the reigns, the Tigers take the field and battle to take the coveted district title.
