The Columbia High School Swim
Team dove into the 98-99 season With a
tremendous victory over Suwannee. The
girls too over Suwannee w1th a towenng
score of 112 - 48. This was the first victory
that the girls had against their tough rival
Suwannee. The boys team came away
w1th a 71 - 23 win as well.
Doug Morgan, the coach of the
CHS swim team has dreams of going to
state this year and thts dream may very
well come true. W1th 22 swimmers on the
team this year and 10 returning swimmers
hopes are htgh.
The swim team's dedication is
unquestionable. There are not many
students who Will get up at four-thirty in the
morning to ma e it to pract1ce by f1ve-thirty
to swim a few hundred laps before school.
After all this "ntense training and mental
preparation the CHS Tiger Swtm Team is
sure to rna e a big splash this year!
