Varsity Baseball Strikes Again!!

The Varsity Baseball team is under the new leadership of coach Andy Bennett. Bennett, a
former Columbia High and Lake City Community College player, was assistant coach under
Brian Saunders for three years before taking over the job when Saunders stepped down. The
2003 Tigers had a new look this year with the roster being scaled to 14 players down from 21
last year. This years team was short on varsity experience with only 4 returning starters, but
definitely did not lack talent! They were off to a rough start but gained valuable experience.
