Beta Club
... ~ ~' ,•"' • • ~ . -1,: National Beta Club is an honor and service organization for students in 9th-11th grades with a 3.4
l ft·~~. :~ ~ GPA and seniors with a 3.2 GPA. Throughout the year, Beta Club members participate in
philanthropic events. In December, club members join together with other clubs to provide a
Christmas party and gifts to children who would otherwise receive little or nothing for Christmas.
The party is always very exciting and rewarding for our students to focus on giving during this
special season. Beta Club also participates in Red Ribbon Week by decorating the community with
red ribbons. The Cancer Relay for Life is a focus for club members in the spring of every year when
students raise money for the American Cancer Society and celebrate life around the clock at the 24
hour relay. Beta Club also sponsors the Miss CHS pageant that is held in March of every year. Club
members make the pageant happen by donating countless hours to planning, decorating, and
backstage help. The money raised at this event goes to help the needy children. Beta Club members
represent their organization and school with pride throughout the year as they serve others with
their time, energy, and talents.
