            Students Working Against Tobacco is
dedicated to informing other students about the
harmful effects of tobacco use. Throughout the year,
they host events which promote not using or quitting
the use of tobacco products. This year events
Included a "Dead Zone" for the Great American
Smokeout. "Dead" students lined the floor of the
commons . Each student represented 400
Americans who will die this year of smoking related
illnesses. During Christmas, SWAT hands out and
mails cards for the perfect gift- either asking for a
loved one to quit or promising they will quit. In
April, the annual Kick Butt day is recognized with
     a cigarette pinata.
