Tigers find a future
in college level
sports. Signing
days are i1nportant
to fa1nily and
friends and honor
skills and grades
Obviously, getting a free ride to college on
an athletic scholarship requires certain ath-
letic skills, grades, and commitment. Cer-
tain (high) scores on the ACT and keeping a
certain GPA are just a few classroom re-
quirements. Not only do the scouts look at
athletic ability and grades, they also look at
personal character. The recruiting process
begins during Spring practice of the junior
season. College coaches come to check
out the players while they practice and then
come to watch games in the fall. If this
interest continues, an interview (either over
the phone orin person) isschdeduled. CHS
is extremely proud of its students who have
gone on to the next level by earning scholar-
ships to local, state, and military colleges.
