The 2015 boys we1ghtlift1ng team IS one that w1ll contend for a state t1tle
th1s year 1n K1ss1mmee. Sen1ors Zednck Woods, Lonnie Underwood, Ben
Kuykendall, Malachi Jean and Sophomore Andy Montalvo, have either broken
or tied school records. That's not even all of the heavy lifters on the platforms,
or the bench. We have a speCial group of young men who work day 1n and
day out for one common purpose: to be the best. Back 1n the late 90's the
Columb1a We1ghtlift1ng team had a four year span 1n wh1ch they captured three
team state titles. The T1ger team of this year shows some of the same qualit1es
as those great lifters. Over the past four years Columbia has yet to lose a
d1stnct or home meet, a streak rarely seen m any we1ght room.
