Identified in the photograph from 1911 are Mr. and Mrs. “Bud”
Hutchinson with their sons Gene, Brack, and Albert.
W.B. “Babe” Douglass, who served as police chief and also
county sheriff, was later commissioner of the Public Utilities and
Railroad Commission of Florida. The Douglass family could
trace its local roots back to the territorial days of early Florida.
