                3/4 cup sugar
                1/2 cup vinegar
                1 cup water
                1/2 cup cold water
                2  envelopes plain gelatin
                1 #2 can asparagus drained & chopped
                1 5 oz can water chestnuts, sliced and drained
                1 cup celery chopped
                2 tablespoons lemon juice
                1 tablespoon grated onion
                1 4 oz jar pimentos drained

                       Combine sugar, vinegar, 1 cup water. Bring to boil to
                dissolve sugar. Dissolve gelatin in 1/2 cup cold water.
               Remove boiling mixture, add gelatin, onion & cool. Combine
               with other ingredients. Pour into 1 quart oiled mold.
               Refrigerate overnight. Unmold onto bed of lettuce.

                1/4 pkg of soda crackers, crumbled
                1 cup mayonnaise
               1/2 cup chopped green peppers
               1/2 cup chopped onion
               1/2 cup chopped celery
               1/2 cup chopped sweet pickles or relish
               3  hard boiled eggs, chopped
               (bit of sugar)

                      Combine all ingredients, mix well. Store, covered,
               overnight in the refrigerator.

              1 bunch fresh broccoli, finely cut up
                                                                         1/2 C raisins
             1 ssi red onion, finely chopped
             1/2 lb bacon, fried and crumbled

             Dressing:         1 C mayonnaise
                                                                         2 T vinegar
                               2 T sugar
             Hix together and chill for 24 hours.
