               the City of Lake City, until their successors are
               elected and qualified, as herein provided.                          40/257
                    Sec. 76. That all assessment, levies, and col­
               lections of taxes heretofore done and performed
               by the corporation of Lake City are hereby legaliz­
               ed and declared valid and of full force, virtue
               and effect, and binding in law and equity.

                    Sec. 77. All laws and parts of laws in conflict
               with the provisions of this act are hereby repealed.
                    Sec. 78. This act shall take effect from and
               after its approval by the Governor.

                   Approved May 22, 1901.





               PART OF AN ACT of the Legislature of 1907,
                     Chapter 5814, Supplementing the City Char­
                     ter. The remainder of this Act amends certain
                     sections of the charter.

                    Sec. 4. The Board of Public Works which was
               created by an ordinance passed and approved un­
               der the provision of chapter 5509 of the Laws of
               Florida, approved May 27, 1905, shall be constitut­
               ed and shall have and exercise all the powers and
               duties as provided in and by said ordinance, until
               said ordinance shall have been repealed or amended
               by ordinance approved in like manner as said or­
               dinance was adopted and approved.

                    Sec. 5. As soon as practicable after the ap­
               proval of this act, the Board of Public Works shall
               have entered up, unless already entered up, all
               liens claimed by the city against lots for the con­
               struction and repair of sidewalks and foot pave­
