Cheerleaders - the smiling girls
standing in front with enthusiasm
wrapped about their shoulders.
Everyone remembers the highlights,
routines and cheers led with sparkl-
ing timing-pep rallies, the glory of it
all. But few know of the hard work
and dedication required to produce
a Fightin' Tiger cheerleader. Fiercely
competitive tryouts were held dur-
ing spring, and the chosen few at-
tended a cheerleading course in
Gainesville. Long summer hours
were spent preparing for fall: foot-
ball time. Pep rallies are not spon-
taneous; they come from careful
planning and practice beforehand
by the CHS loyal cheerleaders.
Cheerleading is a combination of
fun and work!
