Mr. Grubb helps make a smart decision for Gail Owen's final college plans.
The Guidance office provides
many services for students. From
changing schedules, to college
preparation they're always there to
lend a helping hand.
Since there is no longer a Senior
Placement Test, College-bound
students are required to take either
the SAT or ACT college entrance
exams. The counselors at C.H.S. are
in charge of organizing these tests
and administering them.
Counselors also plan college day
for the Junior and Senior classes.
This provides students with an
opportunity to examine various
colleges and give them a better look
at college life.
Supervising Guidance is
department head, Mrs. Charlotte
Anders. Other counselors
responsible for making the school
year a success are: Miss Martha Jo
Deas, Mr. Thomas Grubb , and Mr.
Jon Thomas.
The school nurses at C.H .S., Mrs.
Jan Norris and Mrs. Gussie
McCiearn, are always ready to
administer to the sick.
These nurses have been trained in
First Aid and are able to help the
ailing by bandaging and cleansing
wounds. However, when an
Miss Deas in her busiest moment of the day. emergency arises they call the
student's parents or doctor.
