Working with fractions or finding
the area of a circle all involves
learning the basics. The system of
mathematics at C.H.S. is designed to
prepare the college-bound students
with a good background of what
they will need to fu rther their
education and to prepare the high
school graduate with the basics for
job application. The Columbia High
math curriculum meets the needs of
students on al l levels- ranging
from Basic Math to Calculus. Those
students with a special interest in
this field of study are urged to join
the Mu Alph Theta (Math Club)
sponsored by Mrs. Casey. This club
allows tbe interested students the
chance to find a little extra in
whatever field of math they wish to
study. Patrick Martinez begs his way out from under the demanding .hands of Mr. Flanagan.
