With new emphasis on testing
from the State Department of
Education, the English Department
has added special stress to reading ,
writing, and spelling . Preparing Mrs. Frances Blay, Dept.
Head North
students for tests as well as learning
how to communicate effectively is a
primary goal for Mrs. Foreman,
department head, (South campus),
and Mrs. Blay, (North campus).
Studying for vocabulary and
spelling tests is an every week thing
for students.
English at C.H.S. is more than
subjects and verbs; this year
courses are offered such as:
Grammar, English Literature,
Speech, Research, Drama and Short Miss Diane Bookman
Story.
English is a part of students lives
that is a necessity to prepare you for
life.
1. Mrs. Barbara Foreman, South campus
Department Head enjoys reading stories to
Dell Townsend, Pennie Harris, and LeAnne
Davis.
2. Mark Kirby is overwhelmed by the
technicalities of writing a term paper in Mrs.
