Action started early as Tommy
Young, with a hand off from quarter-
back Kenny Owens, raced down the
sidelines for a 52-yard touchdown.
A 25-yard pass from Owens to
Straten and a 32-yard scramble by
halfback, Blair enabled Moon to
scoot four yards for another
touchdown.
The Commanders took to the air,
which successfully cut the margin,
14-7. Again the Tigers clawed back
with a 64-yard drive highlighted by
Moon's 8-yard touchdown run.
Columbia High scored twice, once
on a short toss to DePratter and
another run by Blair. White also
managed to score but the Tigers
didn't give up their lead of 43-29.
