Generals March
Over Tiqers
Tigers dropped their second
game of the season to the Lee Gen-
erals with a defeat of 17-23. Not only
did the Tigers lose the game, but
they also lost running back Tommy
Young, the Gateway Conference's
leading rusher.
Tommy Young scored the first
touchdown. Rudolph Davis caught a
" bomb " and ran 57 yards for
another Tiger touchdown. So the
Tigers went into the locker room at
the half with a lead of 17-0.
Lee came back in the second half
with the initiative to take home a vic-
tory. The Generals scored the first
two times they had the ball in the
second half.
Lee scored the winning touch-
down late in the fourth quarter on
the " fleaflicker play."
1. Young puts the first 6 points up for the
Tigers. 2. Paul Johnson, assisted by Dean Wil-
liams, boots a punt. 3. Owens adds a few
yards but is a little short of the goa/line. 4. The
Tiger offense fought for every yard against
Lee. 5. After being injured, Young was
sidelined for the rest of the Lee game. 6.
Moon, no. 40, takes the ball. 7. Tiger defense
was up against a sly Lee offense.
