Progressive
Periodicals
Latitudes and Attitudes, C.H.S. 's
new literary magazine. This maga-
zine co-edited by Margaret Payne,
and Marjorie Weiffenbach with staff
members Karen Cooper and Alisa
Giebeig was inspired by the student
body. It consisted of short stories
and poems with artwork to illustrate
them.
In the past years the school maga-
zine has been Splitrai/s, a historical
magazine, but since it no longer
served its purpose for C. H. S. it was
terminated. Latitudes and Attitudes
took its place to fulfill the literary
needs of C.H.S. students.
The Tiger
This year the Tiger underwent sev-
eral changes; a nice new look was
finally achieved. The copy was set
and the appearance was 100% bet-
2
ter. With each edition, the staff tried
for a more successful paper. Al-
though some times apathy toward
the paper was a problem; generally
the sales of the paper have
increased.
With such a small staff, editor,
Peggy Peele really had her work cut
out for her. Although there were
times when the class thought she
would have to be put in an in-
stitution, she pulled through when it
counted.
With only one editor Paula Lackey,
was a real help and was given the
title of typing editor. John Harrell
also was of assistance when the
staff needed pictures fast.
The rest of the staff: MaryJean At-
wood, Shelly Baisden, Iris Brown,
Sherry Camper, Valerie Canaday,
Tana Duckett, Bonnie Gerlach,
Jackie Martin, Sherry Morrison, and
James Richardson all deserve extra
thanks and praise because anyone
who can put up with Peggy Peele
deserves something.
1. Karen Cooper, Marjorie Weiffenbach, and Margaret
Payne enjoy hunting for good stories. 2. Peggy Peele, Mar-
jorie Weiffenbach and Margaret Payne enjoy just playing
around.
