Forward  To The  Future

                                              Ernest Williams         Social  Studies  is  not  just  the  memo-
                                                                       rizing of facts and dates. It is  the prob-
                                                                       ing into the mind and heart of man to
                                                                      find out what he did to cause war, pov-
                                                                       erty  and  depression.  Classes  like  Psy-
                                                                      chology  and  Sociology,  give  us  a
                                                                      chance  to  study  man's  behavior.  The
                                                                       Bible  History  class  is  an  exciting  one
                                                                       for those interested in the customs dur-
                                                                       ing Jesus'  times.

                                                                       As  one  studies  man's  rights  and
                                                                       wro!lgs,  he  can _ decide  what to  do  to
                                                                       eliminate  our  problems.  Therefore,
                                                                       there  is  a brighter future  ahead for all
                                                                       of  us.  Department  heads  are  south
                                                                       campu8, Mr.  Couie and north campus,
                                                                       Dr.  FrankcPhillips.

                                                                       Silence,  reading  and  working,  are  the
                                                                      scenes  in  the  library.  Mrs.  McDuffie
                                                                       and  Mrs.  Annie  Parnell,  along  with
                                                                       their student assistants  emphasize  that

                                                                       the  library  is  a  quiet  place  to  study.
                                                                       New  books,  filmstrips  and  magazines
                                                                       make  the  learning  process  a  lot  less
                                                                       painful.
